Transit of Venus 2012 + Sun:Earth Day

A definite once in a lifetime event (unless i become a Cyborg) is the Transit of Venus. Significant to Australia, 243 years ago because Captain Cook observed the Transit if Venus in Tahiti. It was then he received sealed orders to go South and went on to discover the Australian continent.
I've been so excited about this since March. Sadly, it is a very wet day and no clear skies at all in Perth.
